How to reactivate a property website that was disabled or archived

If you previously set a property website to Disabled / Archived, you can bring it back online at any time. All of the property's text, photos and settings are still there.

How to reactivate a property website

Select the property in your CRIBFLYER admin panel, go to its View Settings screen, choose one of the Live settings, and click Save Changes. The website goes back online immediately.

If the Live options are greyed out

When a disabled website would put you over the number of websites allowed on your subscription plan, the Live options are greyed out and the Save Changes button is hidden. This is the most common reason a reactivation appears not to work.

To fix it, either set a different property website to Disabled / Archived to free up a space, or go to My Account > Subscription Plan and move up to a plan that allows more websites. Once there is room, return to the View Settings screen and the Live options will be selectable again.

The Live options are also greyed out if your account is past due on payment. Updating your payment details will restore them.

Important: check the custom domain name

Reactivating the website does not bring back its custom domain name. Domain registrations expire, and when one does we remove its DNS configuration. So a property website that has been disabled for a long time will come back online correctly, but its old web address will not work until the domain name is registered again.

To check, go to the Custom Domain screen for the property after you reactivate it. If the domain is no longer registered you can register it again from that screen, and the SSL certificate will be set up automatically afterwards. In the meantime the website is still reachable at its default CRIBFLYER address.

If the old domain name is no longer available, or you would rather use a different one, you can map a new domain from the same screen.

Reactivating does not change your subscription plan

Bringing a website back online uses one of the website spaces on your current plan, but it does not change what you pay unless you upgrade to make room. See How monthly subscription plans for property websites work for more on how plan changes are billed.
