Do you have an auto-renew feature for property domains?

Unfortunately, we do not have an auto-renew feature for domain names.

The reason being that the vast majority of domain names registered through CRIBFLYER for property websites aren't needed for more than 1-year.

In most cases a property sells before the year is up and customers don't want or need the domain after that. We had an auto-renew feature in the past and about half of our customers turned it on and forgot about it then got upset when they realized they were paying for domains they no longer wanted. We decided it was more sensible to send email notifications and make it an action-required manual task to renew.

You can see which domains have recently expired or are about to expire from the My Account > Purchased Domains screen in your CRIBFLYER admin panel. You can manually renew any names that are set to expire within 60 days.

There's also a 45 day grace period after a name expires during which you can still recover and renew it. If you missed the 45 day grace period you can try to search for and re-register the name. However, sometimes it takes a few extra weeks beyond the grace period in order for it to become available again.

Please note: All active websites are still live and available on their Default URL even if the associated custom domain name has expired.
