Troubleshooting issues uploading photos, PDFs or other documents

If you're having trouble uploading photos, floor plans, PDFs or other types of documents try the fixes suggested below.

• Check your file names. Rename files(s) to remove all spaces, tabs, extra periods, parentheses or other non-alphanumeric characters in the file name. File names should only have 1 period just before the files type extension. For example: photo-01.jpg
• Dashes and underscores are OK in filenames so you can leave these if they are present.
• Try renaming long file names to be 12 characters or less in length.
• Check the file extensions of your files(s) and make sure they match the allowed upload types. For example photos must be in JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP format. The list of allowed file types is shown on the specific admin panel screen you're uploading files from and will differ depending on the feature.
• If you're trying to upload a PDF make sure the file size is under 5MB. Some large PDFs will fail to upload. Most PDF editors have an option to compress a PDF document to a smaller size.

Try uploading your file(s) again after checking and correcting any issues found in the list above.
