What happens if one of my domain names has expired?

If you registered a domain name for a property or agent website directly through CRIBFLYER we will send you 3 email notifications to let you know when it's about to expire. These notifications are sent to the email that was used to create the CRIBFLYER account and go out at 30 days, 15 days and 1 Day prior to the domain's expiration date.

If you forget to renew a domain and it expires here is the timeline for possible recovery.

Grace Period (0-45 days): There is a grace period after expiration, that lasts for 45 days, during which you can renew the domain at the regular renewal price.

After the grace period ends: The domain enters a period of time that lasts 30 to 37 days where the domain cannot be renewed.

90 to 95 days after expiration: The domain is returned to the public pool, where it becomes available for re-registration by anyone.

If one of your domains has expired and the grace period has already ended:

Visit the Custom Domain screen for the property or agent website and click the link remove the domain name. This will redirect you to a screen where you can search for a new domain.

1) First do a search to see if your original domain has dropped back into the pool and become available for re-registration. If it's not available then your other options are:

2) Search for and register a slightly different name that still works for the property or agent website.

3) Wait until a date 90 to 95 days from the original expiration and then try to re-register the original name. If the domain has become available again and nobody else has registered it you will be able to recover it.
