Portals Nous is an upscale, residential town west of Palma. Thanks to its location, just 12 km from Palma and only a short walk from the high end marina of Puerto Portals, it is a popular choice with both residents and tourists. Due to its year-round residents (atypical in Mallorca), Portals retains a sense of community even in winter.
The main high street is focused along Carretera d'Andratx (just a block from this residence!). Here you'll find a selection of shops including fashion boutiques, hardware stores, an amazing supermarket (Cidón) which has everything you can want, an and a variety of restaurants. There is also a versatile gym & padel club (Bendinat Club) just down the road.
From Portals Nous, you can access two beaches, a small bay called Cala Portals Nous or Cala Bendinat (both just steps from this home!), and the larger, more well-known Platja de S'Oratori, more commonly known as Cala Portals Nous.
