Carol's loves, after her husband, have always been traveling and meeting people. It is true that she has never met a stranger. Her life has followed that path since she left Milwaukee to attend the University of Wisconsin, study in London, travel through Europe and Australia, and teach in Wisconsin and Fort Lauderdale.

An adventure lover, she accepted a job as a chef/first mate on a charter yacht based in St. Thomas, then continued working on larger corporate and private yachts along the East Coast from Florida to Massachusetts. However, she had a passion for the mountains, so she moved to Steamboat in 1985. She spent her first decade in Steamboat in various hospitality and banking industry positions including as a restaurant manager, manager of the Steamboat Bed and Breakfast, and reservations manager of a local property management company. Interestingly, all her jobs involved being with people, listening to them, and developing solutions while giving her the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, to travel to over 35 countries, and live for a few months in Canberra, Australia, with her husband.

She got her Broker's license in 1995 and sold real estate while also acting as a corporate representative and registered agent in Colorado for a Missouri corporation that had Steamboat properties in nightly rental with five different property management companies. Because of her experience in this highly competitive market, Carol is uniquely qualified to service clients who are interested in property that could double as a second home and as a profit center. Her portfolio includes condominiums, duplexes, homes, and land. Her experience balancing the needs and wants of owners and clients, as well as with management companies and their employees has resulted in her having unique knowledge of what it takes for this strategy to succeed. An additional benefit of working with companies and individuals that sometimes had disparate motivations is that she developed an unusually keen eye for detail.

Like most Steamboat residents, Carol loves being in Steamboat not only for its natural beauty but also for its warm, friendly locals and community. Carol is an avid skier, hiker, and cyclist with some whitewater rafting for variety. She also has a passion for creative cooking and reading. Carol and her husband have four grandchildren ranging in age from 6 to 14 years, who all live in the Dallas area.

Sarah’s forward-thinking, creativity, patience, and thoughtful approach to every real estate transaction make her an exceptional advisor for clients. She has consistently earned the Pinnacle Award year after year. “I take the time to explain, simplify, and guide my clients through the process in ways that are reassuring and empowering,” Sarah says. “I take on each client as a personal responsibility even after the deal closes.”

A native of Minnesota, Sarah obtained degrees in both Psychology and Geography. She then worked in sales and marketing departments for both small and large companies including Wyndham Worldwide and Honey Stinger. She honed a keen attention to detail as well as a refined understanding of client’s needs and wants. “I understand the why behind people’s actions. I know what attracts attention, what keeps it, and what attributes to focus on to close a deal.”

Since 2011, Sarah has made Steamboat her home, where she and her husband raise their two children. Her career as a real estate agent since 2015 has afforded her valuable hands-on experience, granting her a deep understanding of negotiation strategies and a nuanced expertise in the Routt County real estate market, spanning from the South Valley to North Routt and all points in between.
