Zibi

Welcome to Zibi

The Zibi community sits in the heart of the City of Ottawa just north of the Canadian War Museum. While the project is still in its early days, the master plan guiding the neighbourhood's design is remarkable for many reasons. The pioneers of this groundbreaking community travelled the globe exploring the best communities in an effort to create something that far surpasses the traditional approach to urban development. Zibi draws inspiration from places like Malmo in Sweden, the woonerfs of the Netherlands, and the docks of Granville Island. The result is a meticulous 34-acre zero-carbon master plan that will transform the shores of the Ottawa River into a vibrant, diverse community brimming with art, culture, and forward-thinking environmentally conscious design.

Lebreton Flats

Immediately south of Zibi lies the exciting Lebreton Flats redevelopment project. The re-envisioning of these underused lands has been in the works for years, but the pieces are now in place for this development to get underway. Claridge has already begun development on their next phase of development which is set to include a daycare, commercial space, and a new $2 million city park while DREAM Properties was recently selected as the preferred proponent for the library parcel. A new NHL area also seems likely after new owners took over the Ottawa Senators in September 2023.
