Currently Vice President of her neighborhood Citizens Association, Waynewood Citizens Association, she has served on the board as Past President (2 terms), Past Vice President (4 terms), and Board Member for over 15 years. She is a Friend of UC (United Community) and is an enthusiastic supporter of her area's local schools and non-profits.

Originally from Westchester County New York, Lyssa has lived in Tucson, Arizona, and San Francisco, CA before making Alexandria, Virginia her home of three decades. Lyssa enjoys travel, walking and running (slowly) along the George Washington Parkway and Potomac River, spending time with her family and friends, trying new restaurants, kisses from her beloved dog Elsa, Yoga, Pilates, and bubbly.

Originally from Upstate New York, Elaine moved to Alexandria for a college internship in DC and never went back to the cold! Since then, Elaine has established a strong connection in the community and is proud to call Alexandria her home for over 30 years. Elaine’s love of people and houses brought her to The Seward Group. Elaine now proudly adds Realtor to her resume. Moving 8 times herself (condo, townhome, single-family home) gives Elaine first-hand knowledge and empathy for what her clients are feeling as they navigate the home buying or selling process together. Through her extensive experience in public and private industry; her work in the field of education; and her status as a small business owner, Elaine has developed strong business, advocacy, and negotiation skills that serve her well as a real estate professional.
